This is it! The last uBuddies post before CG19

Wow! It's almost time! Codegarden 2019 is right around the corner! We are now counting the hours before the Umbraco Community arrive in Odense for 3 days of learning, listening and laughing.

I would like to thank everyone who has submitted their profile for this blog series, you have all been amazing and I can't wait to see you all in Odense.

So lets kick things off with the last bunch of uBuddies who will be at hand to help any first timers attending Codegarden this year.

When was your first time at Codegarden?
2016

Why did you volunteer to be a uBuddy this year at Codegarden?

Because I remember what it was like to not be sure what CG was like and Bob Baty Barr took me under his wing and showed me the ropes!

How many times have been to Codegarden and what makes you come back?

This year is my fourth and it’s the best chance to see all my friends and make new ones!

Where will you be travelling from and on what date? e.g. London

London, Monday 20th

What's your top tip for Codegarden?

Look around in Copenhagen for Umbraco T-shirt’s, go up and say hi or just follow them wherever they go!

What's the one item you will be packing and couldn't do without?

Tablet! For note taking and keeping tabs on things at home.

If you could give your old self some advice about Codegarden, what would it be?

Don’t worry, be happy!

One other thing -
I truly appreciate the community that has made me feel at home both online and in person. Come join us, I think you’ll like it!

Why did you volunteer to be a uBuddy this year at Codegarden?

I know I was nervous attending my first conference, so if I can help others feel a wee bit less nervous then that's great. Plus, it's always great to meet new people attending codegarden for the first time.

How many times have been to Codegarden and what makes you come back?

This will be my 4th Codegarden. As I am sure everyone answers, the main thing that keeps me returning to Umbraco events is the community. It's the most positive and friendly environment of any developer event I have been to. Also, the content of talks is always such a high standard that I learn so much in the 3 days.

Where will you be travelling from and on what date? e.g. London

Edinburgh

What's your top tip for Codegarden?

Get involved, talk to new people and check out the chat on Twitter before and during the conference (#cg19).

What's the one item you will be packing and couldn't do without?

Running Shoes.

#cgRunners is always a great way to meet new people. We go running each morning of Codegardren for an easy pace 5km... join us!

Why did you volunteer to be a uBuddy this year at Codegarden?

Last year I felt it would be a great thing to have for first timers and I'm super pleased to see Umbraco HQ have kicked this initiative off. I want to meet first timers and hopefully give them the best Codegarden experience they can have.

How many times have been to Codegarden and what makes you come back?

This is my second year attending and I can't wait! I had so much fun last year and I learnt loads of stuff. There is no other conference like it.

Where will you be travelling from and on what date? e.g. London

Edinburgh, 20th May

What's your top tip for Codegarden?

Relax, everyone is super friendly and if you want to speak to someone that you recognise from the community, just walk up to them and say hi.

What's the one item you will be packing and couldn't do without?

My running shoes! You can't beat exploring Odense with a run.

If you could give your old self some advice about Codegarden, what would it be?

Don't drink so much! Take your reusable coffee cup with you, you'll be drinking a lot of coffee!
