How did you first hear about Umbraco CMS?

Google search while looking for alternatives to paid CMS's

How long have you been part of the Umbraco community and what do you like / dislike about it?

Been in the community since 2005, love the friendly sharing collaborative culture.

Have you been to CodeGarden? If yes, what did you think about it, if no, is there any reason why?

Yes although last one was in 2014. It's a great way to feel the pulse of the community, learn new stuff and network. You also get to see bleeding edge use cases of Umbraco.

How did it feel when you receive the notification that you were being awarded an MVP award?

Very surprised, at first wasnt sure why I got it. Had to look at my activity for the last 2 years to figure it out.

Has being awarded the MVP made you look at things differently / has it changed anything in your day to day life e.g. asked to do more Umbraco talks? Asked more Umbraco questions at your workplace?

Not really.

If you could offer a new member of the community one bit of advice, what would it be?

Do not be afraid to ask questions, the Umbraco community is not stackoverflow.

Tell us about 1 of your most favourite things whether it's a band, a colour, a bit of software you couldn't live without, an item of clothing, a book, anything but tell us why you love it so much.

Liverpool football club, proper team with proper fans and a top top manager!

What does a typical day look like for you during the working week?

Usually catch up on emails / blogs / slack then project work. Any slack time is spent learning new things.

What do you do in your spare time? Hobbies?

Regular classes at the gym, rest of the time running around after 3 boys.

Anything else you'd like to share with the Umbraco Community?

Keep on learning and sharing.
