The Coffee Log

Every brew, logged.

Welcome to The Coffee Log. A fun little side project I documented in a blog post.

I use a Wi‑Fi plug that reports power usage. When I switch on my coffee machine, a Raspberry Pi in my office detects the power spike and automatically posts a new entry to this page.

Each entry gets a timestamp, and unless I manually update it with the specific coffee I’m brewing, it automatically carries over the bean information from the previous entry. That keeps the input minimal while still letting me track which beans I’ve been enjoying.

It’s simple, automated, and extremely coffee‑geeky — exactly how I like it.
